🎯 The Goal
The aim for this collaboration was to design a tool to encourage participatory design thinking processes, with the ultimate goal of developing sustainable Public Open Spaces (POS) and improving residents’ quality of life.
🎲 The Outcome
We produced 3 Design Guides each focusing on a different aspect of POS design:
Vol. 1: Basics and essentials of a desirable POS project
Vol. 2: Design ideas that could achieve a desirable POS
Vol. 3: Resources that could help users in a POS project
The POSsible! Tower was created to further enhance design thinking skills amongst participants with 7 different play scenarios.

🧱 1. It Is POSsible!
Build a POSsible! Statement with the blocks you pull from the tower. In your POSsible! statement, identify your design strategy, user, and design parameter.
🧱 2. Who Am I?
The blocks you pull will determine your hidden identity! Take turns to guess each other’s identity from the hints given via the design parameters.
🧱 3. Swap Your Hats
Tackle thought-provoking prompts that are formed from the POS dice, PERSONA dice, and of course, the blocks!
🧱 4. Be Your Own Worst Enemy
Design the least welcoming POS possible. By doing so, you discover the blind spots of your project, and you get to come up with hilarious ideas!
🧱 5. I’Mpossible Design
Forget being realistic and design the craziest, coolest POS you can think of! Determine your scenario with the POS dice and the blocks, then simply let your imagination run wild.
🧱 6. Parallel Universe
Practice explaining your design strategy to various users. Adapt your phrasing according to the POS, user, and design strategy you get.
🧱 7. POS Unwinded
Brainstorm various desirable designs for your given user and POS. Let the block’s prompts guide you in refining your idea!
