🎯 The Goal
The EOC commissioned a game designed for their training sessions on equal opportunity and anti-harassment ordinances for civil servants and other organizations, aiming for an engaging, fun, and seamless experience that feels natural for participants, stemming from and inspired by real-life scenarios.
🎲 The Outcome
We created a strategic board game where you and your leadership council need to make tough decisions in response to a series of potentially seismic events for your nascent island nation, as you balance your gold, material and labor resources with the overall happiness of your island residents.
For all of our game design projects, we also provide comprehensive facilitator guides that will allow any facilitators to become game masters in the gameplay experience.
Learning Objectives
A cooperative board game themed around the anti-discrimination ordinances of Hong Kong designed for the Equal Opportunities Commission.
Design Premise
A group of shipwrecked survivors establish a new colony on a deserted island, and as their island’s leadership committee, are tasked with tackling social challenges within their growing community.
Deliverables
Curriculum and debrief guide designed for and handed over, including facilitation training and videos, for EOC staff to take up as part of their regular training programs.
