🎯 The Goal
To develop a game that facilitates the understanding and practice of DEI concepts.
🎲 The Outcome
A strategic board game in which players navigate various recruitment processes and overcome challenges on a foreign planet, they are prompted to engage in discussions about biases, stereotypes, and the significance of DEI, and are encouraged to develop their awareness and understanding of important DEI concepts and their practical applications.
For all of our game design projects, we also provide comprehensive facilitator guides that will allow any facilitators to become game masters in the gameplay.
Round 1: Revealing the task
Every round in Pangea Proxima involves some task that the team has to face as they make their way to the planet. This task is random and is picked from a set of cards presented to the players.
Round 2: Evaluating the candidates from the team
Based on the task at hand, the team picks the candidates they assume the best. Each candidate has traits on the basis of which they can overcome the task at hand.
Round 3: Selecting the team for the task
Once the chosen candidates are finalized, their attributes and traits are added up. Some of these traits are known, some are hidden. The hidden traits are revealed only after candidates are picked.
Finale: Evaluating outcomes
The players calculate final capacity numbers and see if their chosen candidates were able to complete the task or not.
The team with the highest numbers wins the game.
